Symposium #227 at Pacifichem 2015 in Topic Area: 8. Materials & Nanoscience December 15-20, 2015 Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. |
Organized by: Shigeo Maruyama (The University of Tokyo), R. Bruce Weisman (Rice University), Jie Liu (Duke University), Young Hee Lee (Sungkyunkwan University), Jin Zhang (Peking University)
This symposium will focus on the preparation, characterization, and application of carbon nanotubes. Papers are invited in the following areas: (1) New developments in methods for growth, separation, and chemical functionalization and processing; (2) Characterization by spectroscopic techniques such as Raman scattering, photoluminescence, Rayleigh scattering, as well as microscopic techniques such as electron and scanning probe microscopies; (3) Purification and structural separation of carbon nanotubes by density-gradient centrifugation, gel-chromatography, and other approaches; (4) Applications of carbon nanotubes in biology, medicine, electronics, solar energy harvesting, advanced materials, etc.
The symposium is successful. Thank you for your contributions.
